20th Century fox was formed in may 31, 1935, as the result of the merger between fox corporation, founded by William Fox in 1915, and Twentieth century pictures, founded in 1933 by Darryl F. Zanuck and Joseph M. Schenck.
20th Century Fox has distributed various commercially successful films, such as Avatar, the first two Star Wars Trilogies, Ice Age, X-men, Die Hard, Planet Of the Apes, Night At The Museum, Fantastic Four, Alien, Predator and the live action Alvin And The Chipmunks. Colombia pictures is an American film production and distribution company. The company was founded in 1918 by Harry Cohn, and co founders; Jack Cohn and Joe Brandt. They have distributed horror films, such as, 30 Days of Night, Anaconda, Fright Night and the popular The Evil Dead. Columbia Pictures is seen as one of the 'Big Six' because the company has been able to distribute majorly successful movies like Fright Night.
Recently, Colombia Pictures have been involved in popular films, such as, The Amazing Spider Man and Hotel Transylvania. These pictures have most probably received more recognition because of the large company that are distributing them, Columbia Pictures. AH |

Momentum Pictures are a distribution company in which have been adopted by Entertainment One. They have many films that they've helped distribute and many of them successful and some even horror! Some of the horror films that they helped distribute include films like: V/H/S, Dark Skies, The Woman in Black and Sinister. These films had actually ended up being both well known and grossed a lot of money. Other movies they helped distribute include: Movie 43, The King's Speech and even Seven Psychopaths. All these films were hugely successful and have helped the company grow in popularity.

Paramount Pictures:
This ident features the camera pan down to a mountian, this is a far fetch but it could be interpreted that the films they distribute are 'out of this world' due to the fact the ident start from above the skyline and pans down to a unique sight of a single mountian. It should also be noted that the mountian is surronded by a ring of stars, this could be a coicidence that it looks the same shape as the planet, which means that the company is also implying they distribute around the world. This ident features relatively bright colours, this supports the comment I made in the above section where I commented on distribution companies aiming their films at all audiences. By using a bright gold colour on the logo it represents the fact that Warner Bros. distribute good quality films, this could also just reflect the company's good quality reputation. MW |
