With our opening title sequence, we tried to aim for an audience of an age of 15-20. We tried to aim at this group because we realized that nowadays younger people are getting more and more into the horror film genre and so wanted to show them something a bit different. We tried to base the opening title sequence around misogyny as women, in modern society, are seen as vulnerable and we wanted to exploit this. This would then make our audience feel like they can relate to this as they live in and around stereotypes like the vulnerability of women. The social class C2 enjoy watching horror films the most compared to other classes. This category consists of the skilled working class who have below average incomes, this factor is important when marketing the film. We would consider social class when promoting the film as we would have to take into account the type of media platforms people with low incomes use. |

We believe we have attracted our audience firstly with the similarities our opening sequence has with other films, mainly from Se7en. This way we have attracted an audience who are interested in the slasher genre as the killer, like most other slasher genres, is very well hidden and opens up the idea of mystery, as well as Se7en fans as they would be intrigued by the resemblance. Another way we have attracted our audience is through our plot-line of Gynophobia, which we all know by now is the fear of women. Another part of our audience could be males who relate to the killer in terms of relationships and the killer's intentions to eliminate women follows the typical slasher stereotype as women are usually seen as the weaker gender and in most films like Scream, are killed first, usually in the opening title sequence.
We have addressed to our audience by keeping our plot line simple and relevant to the horror genre but not too generic to make the film uninteresting and boring to watch. Our killer remains a mystery throughout the whole OTS and fans of Se7en would definitely want to give this film a try.
The editing of our OTS suits the genre therefore enhances the genre making it more appealing towards the audience.
Additionally, we addressed our audience's demand as the majority of our extended questionnaire research said they enjoyed psychological films, therefore by making Gynophobia a psychological genre film we appeal to our audience's demands and therefore create a lot of interest.
